DAD'S PRINCESS

It was a very hectic day in hospital. I just came out from one of the ward to exchange the branula set of chirrosis hepatic patient. He had a phlebitis on his hand due to the long-term infusion. Suddenly my mobile phone rang. “beep..beep” it’s sms sound. I took a look and found that it was from my dad. As long as I can remember, it was really a rare thing to get the sms from dad. Because he usually calls in or I’ll call him out. It makes me damn curious about the content of the sms.

Quickly I’d press the “OPEN” button and start reading. “Dear daughter and son (me and my brother who studies in Mesir), Now I’m in a Graduation Hall to see your big sister’s graduation event. If you want to give your words to her, better say it right now and I’ll pass it to her..” the tears suddenly drop out my eyes as the warm feeling crawls into my heart. Today is my sister’s big day. A Graduation Day. She had succeeded to become a lawyer as she always dream. A civil law degree and a syariah law degree.. for the first time in my life, I can feel how proud my dad is, having her as a daughter. My mom is also in the same way. To be called a “dad” and a “mom” to a succeeded daughter give a meaning that they are both superb..

To give the same feeling that makes your parents proud of you is that you have to shot a goal to be the best. Studying medicine is literally and factually uneasy. Seriously speaking. (as well as other field). But trying to give out your best effort toward it, is not impossible.. Parents send you off with a kind of hope to see that you can hold the thing you want to do in your whole life. That’s the spirit. Remember it. Catch it. Hold it. And move forward. Genius is a gift. Not everyone born with it. But intellegency can be learned by hardworking, that’s the effort ordinary people can put to be extraordinary. My teacher’s favorites word : “Success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”. That’s how life goes. So just keep positive to move on your road, put your effort and pray.

My sister is a kind of inspiring person. She’d proved it to be the best in her life. Being a good daughter. A good wife. A great mom and a good student. We can make it the way we want as long as we have the hopes and chase for it..

I love you dad.. I love you mom.. I love you sis.. do pray for me to be the best!! For my lovely brother, Keep Fighting!!
